Stubborn Tiny Lights vs. Clustering Darkness Forever OK? first gathered in the fall of 2007 in the basement of a commercial building in downtown Waterloo, IA. Several meetings occurred where up to 15 people at a time of all different backgrounds would come together to make music. Noise and inspiration from the first gatherings twisted into the 2009 EP: ‘OK.' Physical copies of the EP were hand-made by the band members and featured a cloth sleeve with unique, paint splatter artwork.

Eventually the band honed its members to Kyle Arthur Miller (guitar), Andy Sweerin (guitar), Lindsay Keast (piano), Ethan Cote (synths), Tom Cook (bass), Jordan Scott (violin), Emily Highnam (cello), and David McNertney (drums). They played a week-long, winter tour in 2009 and a month-long tour around the United States summer of 2010. They were joined on the summer tour by the Andrew Weathers Ensemble and several STLvsCDFok? members performed with the Ensemble on the road. In Nashville, the band was greeted by the delivery of their new full-length release by Future Recordings. The album titled “The Infinite Regress” received critical acclaim on The Silent Ballet as #20 on the Top 100 Releases in 2010 and the track Sieve Of Eratosthenes was lauded #14 on the Top 50 Tracks of 2010

STLvsCDFok? eventually disbanded in the summer of 2011 to pursue individual projects and goals. They reunited for a reunion show at DIY or DIE Fest II in Waterloo, IA in August of 2014.
